Pre‑Season Wrestling Practice Gear Checklist
Required Gear
Wrestling Shoes — Clean, indoor‑only shoes to protect the mats and provide proper traction.
Athletic Socks — Comfortable, moisture‑wicking socks to prevent blisters.
Workout Attire (Proper Clothing Only)
Short‑sleeve athletic shirt (compression or performance fabric preferred)
No tank tops — for hygiene, safety, and grip control
Athletic shorts (no pockets, zippers, or loose fabric) or leggings
Optional: Compression shorts under athletic shorts for comfort and mobility
Water Bottle — Athletes must bring their own water; hydration is critical.
Towel — For sweat management and mat hygiene.
Safety & Hygiene Items
Mouthguard (Required if you have braces) — Protects teeth, brackets, and lips during contact.
Headgear (Recommended) — Helps prevent ear injuries and cauliflower ear.
Personal Hygiene Kit

Deodorant
Hand sanitizer
Clean change of clothes for after practice
Optional but Highly Recommended
Knee Pads — Extra protection during takedowns and mat work.
